Dr. Du Thi Ngoc Thu, Head of the Organ Co-ordinating unit of Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh city, said six patients have been discharged from the hospital, while the liver transplant patient was still being monitored. The organ donors are two brain-dead men in Ho Chi Minh City. Shortly following agreement from their families, the organs were removed for transplantation. Representatives from Cho Ray Hospital 7 operations using donated organs were completed. Thanks to the donation of organs, the doctors were able to preserve or restor the sight of 23 people.
