The 5th ADMM+ took place one day after ASEAN defense ministers approved counter-terrorism initiatives, such as the establishment of a virtual network of ASEAN Chemical, Biological, Radiological Defense Experts and the adoption of the Guidelines for Air Military Encounters.
The Guidelines are quite significant with regards to the current situation of the East Sea. ASEAN ministers and partners will discuss measures to prevent and cope with terrorist threats.
