The contestants will represent 56 teams competing in 25 professions including electro mechanics, cooking, welding, hairstyling, mobile robotics, automobile technology, website design, restaurant services, and civil carpentry.
There are two competition venues in Hanoi and one in nearby Ha Nam province.
The best contestants will represent Vietnam at the 12th ASEAN Skills Competition in Thailand this August and at the 45th World Skills Competition in Russia in 2019.
The National Skills Competition is held biennially.
From this year, the National Skill Competition will also award Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals to the first, second, and third prize winners.
