40th NA Standing Committee continues

The Standing Committee discussed the necessity to request fisheries surveillance, tax offices and the State Securities Commission to conduct investigations. The increased sophistication of criminal activities has meant that changes in the operation of criminal investigations is now required. Comments were made regarding the possibility of extending the investigative jurisdiction of border guards to strengthen crime prevention in border areas.

The law stipulates principles about the co-ordination among bodies to monitor and inspect criminal activities as well as their rights and responsibilities./.
