The Historical Path is an artistic and documentary program marking the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army, co-produced by Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Ministry of National Defense. On the evening of December 20, the final rehearsal was conducted at the Vietnam Military History Museum, featuring nearly 3,000 participants, including actors, artists, and soldiers. The event was attended by VTV management, representatives from units under the Ministry of National Defense, and other stakeholders. The rehearsal was followed by a discussion to review the performance, address challenges, and finalize contingency plans to ensure the success of the live broadcast on December 21.
The program will feature music videos, performances, reenactments, documentaries, and interviews, illustrating the 80-year journey of building, fighting, and evolving into a heroic military force. Among the nearly 3,000 attendees will be 40 military dogs from the Border Guard Forces, recognized for their outstanding rescue efforts during the recent floods and their international missions in Turkey.
Highlights from the Final Rehearsal of The Historical Path:
The program featured the participation of numerous actors, artists, and military officers and soldiers.
The military officers and soldiers came from various army corps, branches, academies, and military schools, including 800 soldiers from the Hanoi Capital Command, 600 soldiers from the Air Defense - Air Force Service, 400 soldiers from the Navy, 200 soldiers from the Military Ceremonial Unit with 80 military musicians, 80 soldiers from the General Department of Logistics, 100 commandos, and 40 military dogs.
The stage is designed within the expanded space of the Vietnam Military History Museum.
The handcarts are a re-creation of the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign route.
Military equipment is also brought onto the stage of The Historical Path.
Director Lai Bâc Hai Dang supervises and meticulously checks every detail of the program.
The military band is also a highlight of The Historical Path program.
Notably, the program features 40 military dogs from the Border Guard forces, recognized for their outstanding performance in rescue and relief efforts during recent storms and their international mission in Turkey.
