30 gold prizes awarded at 39th National Television Festival

VTV.vn - A total of 30 gold prizes were awarded to the most outstanding entries at the 39th National Television Festival, which wrapped up in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, on December 14, after four days full of activities.

The awarding entries stood out from among the nearly 500 submissions across the nine categories of children’s show, reportage, documentary, science show, talk show, ethnic language programme, music programme, stage performance, and television drama.

A total of 54 silver prizes, four individual prizes, and 126 certificates of merit were awarded on the occasion.

Notably, in the television drama category, in addition to the gold prize, which went to ‘Dao Khat’ (A Thirsty Island), a film on the life of Ly Son islanders in Quang Ngai Province by the Ho Chi Minh City Television Film Studio, the organising board also presented the grand prize to Ve Nha Di Con (Come Home, My Dear), a blockbuster for Vietnam Television (VTV).

Directed by Nguyen Danh Dung, ‘Ve Nha Di Con’ depicts the family issues of a widowed man and his three daughters. With touching messages and simple stories that everyone may face in life, the series attracted great interest and enthusiastic appreciation from viewers.

In his address, Tran Binh Minh, General Director of Vietnam Television and Chairman of the Festival, stressed that the annual event offers a valuable opportunity for those working in the television industry to share their experiences and seek fresh initiatives for their work.

He also called on television workers to promote their creativity and innovation to meet the increasing demands of viewers while contributing to the national construction and defence.
