25 officials selected for Central Military Commission
VTV.vn - The first meeting of the Central Military Commission for the 2020-2025 term was held this morning in Hanoi.

Among those participating in the conference were General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

On behalf of the Politburo, Vo Van Thuong, Member of the Secretariat, announced the decision of the Politburo to appoint personnel of the Central Military Commission for the 2020-2025 term, including 25 members. Three key leaders, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh joined the Central Military Commission and its Standing Committee. Party Leader Nguyen Phu Trong was appointed Secretary of the Central Military Commission, while Minister of Defense Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang was appointed Deputy Secretary.

Also during the meeting, the Central Military Commission reviewed the report on leadership and the implementation of military and defense tasks in the first 6 months of the year and set new tasks for the next 6 months of 2021 as well as other works.
