The organisers of this year's event have revealed that 113 authors have been chosen for these honours. This year witnessed 2 sessions of evaluation. The first round chose 10 authors for Ho Chi Minh Prizes and 67 for National Prizes. The second session singled out 8 Ho Chi Minh Prize winners and 28 National Prize holders. Many of the winners are no strangers to art in Vietnam, and include composers Thuan Yen and Trong Bang, and poet Xuan Quynh.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on May 20th.
