2 dead in Philippines street festival bombing

VTV.vn - A homemade bomb hidden under a motorcycle killed at least 2 people and wounded more than 30 at a local street festival in southern Philippines on Tuesday, police and the army said.

The explosion took place in front of a restaurant on a highway in Isulan in Sultan Kudarat province.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the local officials disputes, suspecting that a local group was behind it, intending to target civilians in an urban area.
