Today, on the sidelines of the Party Congress, delegates appraise the personnel preparation for 12th Party Central Committee, and believe that this, together with the adoption of the election regulations will create a strong base for the success of the Party Congress.
According to many delegates, nominations for election were carried out in a thorough and responsible manner. In order to ensure the consistent leadership for the next tenure, the Party Central Committee has paid particular attention to the structure of three distinct age groups.
"We have discussed thoroughly about the age structure. We have also carefully reviewed each profile. We can easily understand the workings of the nomination and selection process and understand the democratic working manner used", said Le Huu Quy, Delegate, Ninh Binh Province.
Some of the delegates that failed to make the official candidate list but still wanted to stand for election, later expressed the opinion that they were prepared to withdraw from the vote. This act received the appreciation iof many delegates.
"This is a tradition of the party to respect the decision of the organisation. We highly appreciate that many members who have made great contribution to the country but there comes a time when it’s good to step back to leave space open for the younger generation. That is a positive thing to do", said Le Hoang Phung, Delegate, Lam Dong Province.
Several delegates said the implementation of the election regulations would provide a strong foundation act for the success of the party congress. It is because these regulations were set based on the key contents in the previous tenure of the party central committee and have proved their practicability during party congress at local levels.
"These regulations are reasonable and ensure democratic election procedures. In our province, we have adopted these regulations to choose members at local level and succeeded. The provincial party congress was successful and everyone was happy", said Huynh Tan Viet, Delagate, Phu Yen Province.
In the afternoon session, the presidium is expected to report on elections, candidates and supplementary nominees, and those who asked to withdraw from the ballot.
