1,000 life jackets presented to needy fishermen in Quang Ngai

The life jackets are gifts from former President Truong Tan Sang and other sponsors in response to Humanitarian Month 2022.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Red Cross Association Pham Ngoc Thanh said that, over the past four years of implementing Humanitarian Month, the Red Cross Associations at all levels in the province has mobilised tens of thousands of gifts to support a similar number of disadvantaged people.

He noted that Humanitarian Month has contributed to raising social awareness and promoting and spreading the spirit of solidarity among people from all walks of life.

The Quang Ngai Red Cross Society also called onorganisations, agencies, businesses and individuals to continue to support and accompany the local Red Cross Society in helping people in need.

The Quang Ngai Red Cross Society is expected to raise at least 6 billion VND during this year’s Humanitarian Month in order to help 12,000 needy people.
