The event was organised by the Centre for Assisting Youths and Workers, under the municipal Youth Union, and coincided with Vietnam's National Day.
Each couple was also presented with a pair of wedding rings, wedding dress and suit, a wedding photo album, and celebrative services, together with free health care voucher with a year of validity. A couple facing extreme difficult living conditions was also gifted with an apartment worth 20 million VND.
At the same time, they were also offered free training courses on skills to build a happy family.
The mass wedding has been held every year since 2008 to honour traditional Vietnamese wedding customs and the spirit of kindness and sharing of its people.
According to organisers, the aim of the event is to enhance the spiritual lives of young workers and help couples begin their happy family life.
It also encourages them to improve their lives and careers, thus contributing to the city's development.
