The Vietnam Centre for Maritime Rescue received a distress signal from the ship BF97173. The ship experienced engine failure and was floating free around 158 nautical miles offshore. Rescue ship SAR 27 was deployed from Nha Trang, but the mission encountered bad weather conditions. However, the rescue team managed to overcome this after hours of battling with strong winds and currents. The rescued fishermen are all in good health.
