As of April 2016, the Saigon High-tech Park in HCMC had attracted 94 investment projects. Many of them come from world-leading investors such as Intel, Samsung, Nidec or the Fulbright University. Such technology-intensive projects have also attracted the eyes of overseas Vietnamese.
Software, IT and biotech are fields of interests for people living in South Korea. There are large numbers of students and lots of research into these areas, so sufficient policies from the cities could attract these people to come back and contribute to the development of the city.
The number of Vietnamese studying and working overseas, could help Ho Chi Minh City leverage the city's development.
