Under a city plan issued on 15th October, authorities will tighten checks on vehicles carrying building materials and waste. Trucks must cover their loads and have their wheels cleaned before leaving construction sites.
The plan also calls for at least two cleaning rounds a day on key roads where dust builds up. Authorities will also target the open burning of rubbish and farm waste, while exploring new technologies to monitor dust in real time and trigger controls when levels exceed set limits.
