The 47,000sq.m resort, located on Reu Island in Ha Long Bay, has been built with a total investment of VND1.2 trillion (US$53.7 million).
The resort has a five-star nine-storey hotel with 384 rooms, clusters of restaurants, a convention centre and entertainment facilities, besides bars, swimming pools and artificial beaches.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Quang Ninh People's Committee Nguyen Duc Long said the resort would be an impressive highlight of Ha Long Bay, attracting more domestic and international visitors to the province.
Vinpearl Ha Long Bay Resort is the first and largest five-star beach resort in northern Viet Nam. It began welcoming visitors on November 1.
