Vietnam sees record trade deficit by first half of December

VTV.vn- According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's trade deficit reached nearly 520 million USD in the first half of December, bringing the trade deficit from January to December 15 to nearly 3.5 billion USD.

Exports from January to the end of December 15 were valued at nearly 154.6 billion USD. Enterprises with foreign investment registered a trade surplus of 600 million USD.

Phone and components have remained the largest export earner, while machinery, equipment, tools and other parts still accounting for the largest proportion of imports.
