Rice exports rise sharply

Volume increased by 56.7% and value by 46% compared with the same period last year. Meanwhile, rice exports in 2015 reached 6.59 million tons, earning revenue of 2.8 billion USD, up 4% in volume and down 4.5% in value compared with 2014.

The average export price of rice is 425.6 USD per ton, down 8.2% compared with 2014. China was the largest import market of Vietnamese rice in 2015, with a market share of 30.65%.
