Based in Ho Chi Minh City, the Broadcast Research and Application Center (BRAC) is in charge of studying applicationsand technologiesin broadcasting suchas DVB-T2/S2/C2, UHDTV, TV White space; developing interactive applications for television (EPG, MHP, HbbTV, etc.); forecasting technological trends for TV/ radio industry in Vietnam; consulting, planning, evaluating technological projects for the Stations and training VTV staff.
HUMAN RESOURCE TRAINING
College of Television
College of Television, an agency of VTV, is responsible for training human resources for the television industry.
The majors include TV press, multimedia journalism, filming, directing, acting, MC; television production technologies, transmission technologies, cable television technologies,TV lighting and TV audio, etc.
College of Television is planned to be upgraded to Television Academy in 2015.
Vietnam Television Training Centre (TVTC)
Vietnam Television Training Center (TVTC) is in charge of short-termed training courses.
TVTC has its headquarterin Hanoi and 3 branches inNghe An, Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City. Annually, the center organizes from 50 to 70 training courses for over 1,000 students on average. The courses focus on crucialfields of television industryand are facilitated by instructors from prestigious international organizations such as JICA, AIBD, DW, ABU, THOMSON REUTER, CFI, etc.
