Vietnam–Laos youth meeting

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Nguyễn Long Hải, leads the Vietnamese delegation, and Deputy Secretary of the People’s Revolutionary Youth Union, Khampha Phimasone (Khăm-pha Phi-ma-xỏn), leads the Lao delegation.

The six-day event has been organised in the Lao provinces of Savannakhet, Champassak and Salavan. Delegates will discuss the role of youth in socio-economic development and what measures can be taken to encourage creativeness and the start-up spirit among young people.

This friendly meeting, which has been running since 2000, has become an annual event to strengthen the ties between the youth unions of the two countries.
