Dengue fever cases on the rise in Hà Nội

HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội reported 41 more dengue fever cases over the past week, according to the municipal Department of Health.

The capital also saw 25 more cases of measles, 58 cases of foot-and-mouth, three cases of whooping cough and one fatality caused by pig streptococcus in Minh Châu Commune, Ba Vì District.

So far this year, Hà Nội has recorded 348 cases of dengue fever, 315 cases of measles, more than 1,200 cases of foot-and-mouth, 51 cases of whooping cough and 11 cases of pig streptococcus.

Over 28,000 households, 24 construction sites and 70 public places in Hà Nội have been chemically treated to prevent dengue fever from spreading. — VNS
