Companies from the construction, real estate, electricity, finance, food and beverages, and cigarrettes sectors topped the list. Average profits before tax of 2017 of the top 500 enterprises is 65% higher than last year. Telecommunications and IT have the highest average profits. At the event to announce the list, enterprises praised the government's macro-economic management. Over 97% of surveyed enterprises say economic stability and the business environment in Vietnam in 2018 so far is good or very good. More than 90% of enterprises expect higher revenue than last year.
