Right after the flood, Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung visited the damaged area and encouraged local authorities to try their best to carry out search and rescue activities. He also required the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to give supports of 440 USD to each household with dead people and 220 USD to each household with injured members.
