To face these challenges, Vietnam Coastal Guard - the Law enforcement forces at sea and 1 of 6 army forces have been prioritized and equipped to strengthen their ability.
Coastal Guard vessel 8005 was designed by the Dutch and constructed in Vietnam for 18 months. The vessel has a helicopter area, and is a multipurpose vessel combined patrol and implementation of search and rescue missions, environmental protection and other tasks.
CSB 7011 vessel functions as an oil tankers and very versatile, ready to made logistics and rescue tasks at sea. There are also high-speed patrol boats capable of rapid mobility, specialized rescue team, speedboats teams.
"The vessels are made from various sources, they carry modern equipment that were manufactured in recent years with excellent quality and their operating range is among the countries with the largest vessels in the East South Asia", colonel Nguyen Van Hung - Head of the Technical division, Vietnam Coast Guard - said.
In the recent times, patrol vessels in distant waters will continue to be modernized and equipped to improve the capacity/ability of the Vietnam Coast Guard in protecting the sovereignty, security, order, and safety of Vietnam.
"We have identified, that we will always keep alert and ready available to solve and protect our sovereignty, solving border, maritime territory issues by peaceful means, stabilize our sea and country area", Major General Hoang Van Dong - Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard - said.

Ensuring the security and safety at sea is increasingly urgent. Along with Equipment modernization, courage and the determination of each soldier, and the connection with fishermen are the important factors equally important in strengthening law enforcement at sea.
