Planning and Credit Institutions draft laws discussed

NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that if the draft Law on Planning is not passed in the next plenary session, it'll be detrimental in terms of time, opportunities and money.

However, according to some deputies, if it is passed, 23 other related laws need to be amended. Therefore, they suggested drafting a law that would revise other laws.

The amended law on Credit Institutions did not mention the passing of failed banks into the control of the State Bank of Vietnam but still raised different opinions at the meeting.

Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that the law must provide clear conditions for the passing of weak banks over to the State Bank of Vietnam as well as the difference between a nominal 0 VND purchase and an automatic transfer of the bank to SBV.
