Addressing the conference, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Le Hong Son emphasized that 2016 was a successful year for people-to-people diplomacy in Hanoi with many international activities held in the city. The capital city established and continued to strengthen many new and existing bilateral and multilateral relations with other countries, territories and foreign organizations. The vice chairman expressed his appreciation for the active role of Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations in organizing many meaningful activities.
Also at the conference, participants proposed action plans for 2017 including promoting Vietnam's image to international friends through cultural and arts exchanges, as well as producing promotional video clips to screen at international fairs and exchanges.
