*The Labour Confederation of Phu Yen Province held a ceremony on April 26 to mark the 135th anniversary of International Workers’ Day and launch Workers’ Month 2021.
The provincial Labour Confederation has planned to present gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, provide health examination and medicine to more than 500 female workers and organise the issuance of chip-based ID cards to local workers.
Enterprises in the province will hold other meaningful activities such as providing workers with discounted goods and social houses and organising driving tests for the A1 class motorcycle license.
*Chairman of the Labour Confederation of An Giang Province Nguyen Thien Phu said that this year’s Workers’ Month will take place from April 26 to May 31 in the province.
During the month, the trade unions will hold activities to care for local workers while protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees.
Disadvantaged workers will be given with financial support, health check-ups, social houses and career counselling.
* The Labour Confederation of Ha Tinh Provinceorganised a ceremony on April 26 to commend 50 outstanding workers and celebrate Worker’s Month 2021.
Fourteen enterprises were also praised at the ceremony for their policies on providing care for their employees.
Ha Tinh has more than 100,000 workers, who have contributed about 76% of the province’s GDP in 2020,thus contributing to the acceleration of the province’s socio-economic development.
