The remark was affirmed by Le Trung Kien, the head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, during the investment promotion conference with French enterprises in 2022 held in Hai Phong on May 25 with the theme "Hai Phong - a successful destination".
The seminar, co-organised by the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority, the French Embassy in Vietnam and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, featured the participation of nearly 50 French businesses and investors.
This is an opportunity for French investors, as well as businesses in the European community (EU) in general, to learn, exchange and capture information about Hai Phong City.
French Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolas Warnery said that this is the first time that the French Embassy and a large French business delegation have come to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in Hai Phong City - a large dynamic city in development, featuring a seaport, many industrial parks and many other advantages, which promises to be a remarkable destination for French investors.
At the seminar, Le Trung Kien, head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, and Bruno Jaspaert, General Director of DEEP C Hai Phong Industrial Park Complex, answered many questions from French businesses about priority areas for investment in Hai Phong; the advantages of Hai Phong compared to other localities and regions; carbon emission reduction progress; incentives for enterprises to use renewable energy; and management and safety in industrial zones.
Earlier, Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung received French Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolas Warnery along with a delegation from France.
