VTV.vn - The Gratitude for Life Gala will take the audience on a retrospective journey of the year 2023, featuring touching, meaningful human stories that inspire love and compassion.

Gratitude for Life is an annual program under the brand of Vietnam Television that airs at the end of each year. It is a time when people often want to "slow down a bit" to reflect on the stories of the past year, rediscover true values. The program, together with the audience, looks back on the past year with touching and meaningful human stories selected from events that occurred during the year, awakening love and providing viewers with additional motivation and inspiration; sowing seeds of kindness in each person's heart. The program is co-produced by the Vietnam Health Workers Union, the Documentary Film Center (Vietnam Television) and Agribank.

In 2023, the country continues its path to recovery after the pandemic. Difficulties arising from the global situation, economic challenges, natural disasters, storms, floods.. paint a somewhat gloomy picture. Amidst the unpredictable journeys of the times, individuals find resilience within themselves. The theme of the Gratitude for Life Gala 2023, "Grateful for Resilience”, reflects this sentiment.

To convey the message of gratitude for positive changes, the production team has carefully selected stories of positive transformations, humane acts, and inspirational anecdotes to present to the audience. True to the definition of resilience, it's the feeling of having a foundation, having conditions for peace of mind, free from worry. Despite difficulties and dangers, only resilience provides the mindset to face the storms and the internal strength to overcome impending challenges. This resilience comes from within each person, from the support and solidarity of the “compatriots”, from valuable stories throughout the year, shaping a brighter future.

To prepare for the live broadcast, the preparation team has spread out to many locations across the country, conducting interviews and gathering materials. In particular, the team was present in Gia Lai, meeting with Dr. Nay Blum, who has dedicated more than 30 years of his life to saving the lives of children affected by a local tradition. In the Central Highlands, there was a tradition where if mothers passed away, their small children would be buried alive. Driven by compassion for these heartbreaking situations, Dr. Nay Blum has dedicated his life to saving these innocent children. Now, this tradition has been abolished, and the people trust Dr. Nay Blum, who always goes above and beyond for the community.

Apart from Dr. Nay Blum's story, the program also features the participation of many other individuals, along with their positive energy and belief in positive changes. The live broadcast of the Gratitude for Life Gala will be aired at 8:10 PM on December 24th on VTV1. Stay tuned!
