The event is co-organised by Vietnam and Laos’ Ministries of Defence, and Ministries of Industry and Trade. The trade expo features many enterprises from both countries, with about 320 stalls. On this occasion, the two countries Ministries of Defence and Ministries of Industry and Trade have also launched an e-portal on the Vietnam-Laos trade economy, providing useful information for businesses of both countries and to boost bilateral trade ties. The trade expo coincides with the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Laos bilateral diplomatic ties and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.
