According to the industrial development plan of the Red River Delta 2025, with a vision to 2035, which has been approved by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, five industrial corridors will be developed including the economic corridors: Hanoi - Hai Phong, Hanoi - Noi Bai - Ha Long, Hanoi - Viet Tri past Vinh Yen City, Hanoi - Lang Son and a coastal economic corridor.
The target of the planning till 2025 is to develop the industry of the Red River Delta with modern technologies capable of competing in the integration period, encourage the production of high quality environmentally friendly products that meet the basic requirements for export, and create a workforce qualified to meet the demands of modern production. The period till 2035 focuses on the manufacturing industry with advanced high technology equipment, reputable brands, and an ability to compete and meet the standards of the developed countries.
