Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy said the event is expected to start a series of activities in the Hanoi book street this year, contributing to making it closer to book lovers in the capital.
Following the ceremony, the book “The Emperor” by Polish journalist Ryszard Kapuscinski debuted
This year the book street has attracted new publishers who are showcasing a range of books, including for children, literature, economics, science, and even ebooks.
Art performances and folk games will be held to entertain visitors. "Mau Tuat 2018" will be open from 8:30 to 21:00 every day from February 18th to February 25th.
