The contest is aiming to enhance the cultural exchanges and friendship among ASEAN countries as well as ASEAN with other regions via music.
This information was announced at the press conference on the issue held on August 7th in Hanoi.
According to the organisers, the singing contest ASEAN+3 will be taken place from August 17th to 20th, with the participation of 19 participants coming from ASEAN countries and visiting candidates from China, the Republic of Korea and Japan. For the first time, this contest will be held in Vietnam, with three participants.
Prior to the grand finale, on August 18, the contestants will have a chance to take part in a cultural visit to the Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh province. The complex was recognized by UNESCO as a world natural and cultural heritage site.
At the end of the contest, the organizing panel will present one first, two second, one third and one consolation prizes to singers with outstanding performances.
