The scholarship recipients, including 143 students and 67 adults, were acknowledged for setting exemplary models in following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings, promoting self-learning, and working out innovative ideas in production.
The youngest honouree was Tran Thi Thuy Nga, a six-year-old student from Dong Thap province, while the oldest was 82-year-old Pham Van Sy from Binh Duong province.
While congratulating the honourees, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan highly appreciated the Vietnam Association for Learning Promotion for the presentation of the scholarships, which helps to foster the building of a learning society.
She expressed her hope that the scholarship recipients will continue to make further strides on the path of acquiring knowledge and spreading enthusiasm to learn towards their families and society, thus contributing to the development of the educational sector.
