WHO fears Zika could spread to Asia and Africa

According to a WHO representative, the complications caused by the virus Zika have increased tenfold, and are predicted to spread not only in the Latin American region but also to Africa and Asia.

The WHO has declared a state of global medical emergency after the Zika virus is believed to be the cause of approximately 4,000 cases of minor birth defects in Brazil in the period from January 2015 to the present.
