Vietnam’s most modern highway opens in Hai Phong

The highway was built with six traffic lanes and two shoulders to reduce traffic jams along Highway 5 and has a highest speed limit of 120 kilometers an hour.

It also reduces travel time from Hanoi to Hai Phong to 1.5 hours instead of 2.5 hours. The route connects important economic areas, such as Hanoi, the biggest northern port city, Cát Bi airport, Hạ Long City and the northeast region of the country.
