Scholarships presented to poor students in Central Highlands

Disadvantaged fresh students in the Central Highlands region were presented with scholarships at a ceremony held in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province on October 9. The event was under the “Tiep suc den truong” (Giving strength to students) programme

The scholarships, each worth over 320 USD, were granted to ethnic and needy students in 5 central highlands provinces. They are expected to ease financial burden on students who recently passed the national high school exam and earned seats in colleges and universities.

Since the beginning of this year, the scholarships have been available for nearly 1,500 impoverished fresh students and over the past 13 years provided more than 2 million USD for 13,000 fresh students with difficulties nationwide.
