VTV.vn - The National Assembly entered discussions today on revising the criminal procedure and investigation code; specifically, the recording and documentation of investigation activities.

Some deputies proposed that all investigations be video and audio-taped, instead of only some. Others argued that, with over 100,000 investigations conducted each year, this would not be feasible.

According to them, the equipment required to satisfy this proposal would cost millions of dollars. Some even raised questions about whether or not such recordings could be used as evidence in court proceedings.

Many deputies believe that recording should only be used in special cases, such as serious crimes or when it is difficult to determine credibility.
