Hanoi youth practice charity on Christmas Eve
VTV.vn - Christmas is one of the most joyful occasions of the year. But this is not the case for everyone. Around Hanoi, there are still unlucky people who cannot find shelter on Christmas Eve.

Christmas is a time for people to get together with friends and family. But this is also an occasion for some to show their care for the community.

Thắng Jacky Lý is an overseas Vietnamese who has just returned to the country. He has taken part in several charity works in Vietnam, but this is the first Christmas he has joined the charity group “Warm” to give presents to homeless Hanoians.

On Christmas Eve, 50 young people from the charity group “Warm” wandered through Hanoi, offering 150 gifts to homeless Hanoians. Those with health problems were even given medicine and food. Gifts comprised simply of blankets or old clothes.

For homeless Hanoians, the young people of Warm are the real Santa Claus, bringing them warmth on a cold Christmas Eve.
