Dead whale buried on land

The whale is estimated to weigh nearly 70 tonnes and measure 17 to 18 metres. It was found on Monday by Đặng Mẫu Hữu, a 45 year-old fisherman living in Bình Định Province. Hữu and other fishermen pulled the corpse to Triều Dương Bay, Tam Thanh Commune the following day to have it buried. According to traditional custom, whales are worshipped by fishermen as they often emerge to help fishermen sail home safely during storms at sea.
