Conference discusses campaign against cigarette smuggling

The conference reviews the preliminary 1-year implementation of a prime ministerial directive on strengthening the fight against cigarette smuggling.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the effort and achievement of ministries and authorities in implementing Directive 30. He also noted that ministries, authorities and localities need to take practical action to curb cigarette smuggling.

Co-operation between National Steering Committee 389 and the local authorities should play an important role in producing solutions to combat cross-border cigarette smuggling.
