Vietnam promises to strictly abide by EU standards of timber trade
VTV.vn - The 5th round of negotiations between Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the EU has recently concluded. The 2 sides finally reached important results regarding agroforestry products.

Vietnam listed 11 key issues on which the Vietnamese Agroforestry sector is currently focusing. Among these, sustainable agroforestry management and trade expansion are essential in monitoring timber legitimacy and environmental protection.

Not only is Vietnam producing timber, but it is also importing timber from other countries for export to the EU. This means that keeping track of timber origins remains a key task for authorities.

Timber exporters from Vietnam promised to strictly abide by the EU regulations for timber trade. This contributes greatly to the timber industry’s sustainable development.
