President Truong Tan Sang receives the US Secretary of State

President Sang warmly welcomed the US Secretary of State to Vietnam and expressed his appreciation of the good relations between the two countries.

He affirmed Vietnam’s goodwill and activeness in negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership and hoped all of the issues surrounding TPP will be resolved at the TPP Trade Ministers’ Meeting late this month.

The President also welcomed the US and G7’s stance in resolving the East Sea disputes by peaceful means.

US Secretary of State John Kerry also expressed his appreciation of the development of the two countries’ diplomatic relations and showed particular interest in the establishment of Fullbright University and opportunities for education cooperation with Vietnam.
