PM condoles Chinese counterpart over severe disaster

VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on June 24 extended a message of condolence to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang over the recent severe human and material losses caused by a tornado and hailstorm in Yancheng city.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also conveyed his condolences to State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
According to Chinese state-run media, the death toll from the disaster has climbed to 98 and hundreds are injured.
A similar disaster hit the city in March 1966.
