Chinese ambassador meets PM

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that China and Vietnam should enhance political trust and promote comprehensive co-operation in all fields, especially in trade and investment in a meeting with the People's Republic of China Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomed the ambassador’s opinion that the two parties should have better control in information and opinions on the East Sea issue. Disputes should be resolved by peaceful means in accordance with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention Law of the Sea, the state leader stressed, adding that both coutries should work other ASEAN countries to fully implement and effectively implement the DOC, develop a COC; while maintaining peace and stability in the East Sea.
