TRÀ VINH — Construction of a port complex, worth VNĐ4.5 trillion (US$193 million), kicked off in Duyên Hải District, Trà Vinh Province on Thursday.
Financed by Định An construction company, the 128ha complex comprises three ports, a warehouse system and a logistics zone, that will enable it to receive container ships with a capacity of 30,000 TEU as well as cargo vessels with capacity of up to 50,000 DWT.
The complex is divided into two stages with the first seeing the construction of one port which is slated for completion in June 2020, while the second will comprise the completion of two remaining ports.
