On display are consumer goods, food, farm produce, household utensils, electronics, garments and textiles, footwear, cosmetics and jewellery, along with traditional dishes from the two countries.
The Việt Nam-Thailand expo, the first of its kind in An Giang, is a chance for the two business communities to seek new co-operation opportunities, organisers said.
The event will last until June 9.
Thai products currently enter the Vietnamese market via four major distribution channels: Mega Market with 19 supermarkets, B’smart with 75 convenience stores.
The Thai government offers favourable conditions for Thai firms to join trade exhibitions in ASEAN member countries. There are between a dozen and 20 Thai goods exhibitions held in Việt Nam every year. LV
