QUẢNG NGÃI — A Vietnamese boat came to the rescue after a Chinese vessel with 32 fishermen on board got into difficulties.
The drama unfolded on Thursday morning in waters off Việt Nam’s Trường Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
The Chinese boat got into trouble and was aided thanks to a boat owned by Bùi Văn Phải in An Hải Commune, Lý Sơn island district of central Quảng Ngãi Province.
Phải contacted the communal fisheries trade union via Icom to report the incident and was asked to take the fishermen back to Lý Sơn island District.
The rescued men were handed back to a Chinese boat yesterday, according to the provincial Border Guard Command.
