VTV.vn - The project to send young volunteer doctors to lower-level hospitals has been a breakthrough for the health sector as it has helped improve the hospitals' quality of human resources and services.

This was confirmed at the handover ceremony for the young volunteer doctors, which took place on Thursday at the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The project's aim is to send roughly 300 to 500 volunteer doctors to disadvantaged areas by 2020. Currently, there have been 354 trained doctors and 77 doctors working in 37 poor districts of the northern and central mountainous provinces.
