VTV.vn - The World Bank has brought great relief to Vietnamese citizens affected by recent natural disasters such as drought and salinisation.

This organisation aims to support local farmers by building new irrigation systems in affected regions.

The World Bank will fund 80% of the total infrastructure cost under the Sustainable Agricultural Transformation Project in Vietnam. The rest will come from localities' own funding. Thirteen provinces and cities will benefit from this project. These include provinces in the Central Highlands and Mekong Delta regions. The project is estimated to be worth 300 million USD.
